Snow Tulips I (2005)

Sometimes despiration breeds creativity. This photo was taken in January when the only tulips to be found in Michigan are store-bought. I took advantage of the morning light reflecting off a fresh snowbank just outside a north-facing window to give these tulips a soft backlit effect.
