Globe Mill Pond Spillway (2004)

Sometimes pictures work and sometimes they don't. I took this shot at dusk next to the spillway of the Globe Mill Pond Dam in Tecumseh, MI. I had set out to take sunset photos from the dam with the multicolored sky reflecting off the water of Globe Mill Pond. After shooting a couple dozen photos of the sunset, I had one shot left on my memory card so I decided to try something new and take a shot of the water coming over the spillway. None of the sunset photos turned out to be as interesting as this shot of the spillway.
